Testimonials

Happy customers.

“I have been to European Motor Cars a number of times and the service is top notch. The thing I like most about the establishment is the honesty with the techs as well as the service writers. Everyone is very kind and knowledgeable. There are not a lot of places out there where you can drop your car off and know that you can have your car back in a timely fashion with no problems. I recommend European Motor Cars for any car troubles. ”

“I have a 2006 Mercedes SLK 280 that is still under factory warranty, and prefer to pay to have my car serviced at EMC. Why? Because I trust them, and they are not going to charge me an extra $50.00 for “Misc. Nuts and Bolts” like Desert BMW, Fletcher Jones, or any of the other crooks in town. Nice folks, fast service, and they are not going to invent problems with your BMW or Mercedes in order to rip you off. I highly recommend this outfit to any JAG, Mercedes, or BMW owner. ”

“I took my Mercedes to three other shops before I found EMC Service Center, The other shops could not fix the problem. A friend said to go to European Motor Cars on Spring Mountain Rd. They fixed it in no time and also showed me what they did. It’s really nice to find an honest shop that really knows what they are doing. I would recommend them anytime. ”

“I have personally known the principal of this shop for 22 years. When he entered the auto repair business, I knew he would be first rate. I have watched the shop grow due to success of the service policy and dedication to perfection and customer satisfaction. From humble beginnings to the toast of Las Vegas, EMC deserves its success. You can’t find a more honest shop with better quality technicians and service personnel. Whether living in Las Vegas or passing through, do your European car a favor and get it to the best people around. We drive European cars for performance but they only perform to their best when serviced by the best! Congratulations Dan and Shelina on your continued efforts to deliver complete customer satisfaction. ”

“It is so hard to find an auto repair place but I found it. I went to a number of shops to get my Beamer fixed and was quoted a lot of money to fix the problem. After going to European Motor Cars (EMC), they diagnosed the problem and fixed it for a fraction of the original quote, and as it turns out the original diagnosed problem was not my problem it was something a lot less costly. Thank you European Motor Cars! The other great thing was that I spoke with the mechanic and he explained my problem. I noticed that on the wall, all their mechanics were BMW factory-trained, and best thing was they are some of the nicest people to deal with. ”

“Eleven years ago I needed an oil change for my ’83 BMW 320 S and quite by accident came across BMW Performance (later to be known as EMC). They treated me like family as soon as I walked in the door and not only provided me with quality service, but they did it without ripping me off. That would have been easy to do as so many independents have demonstrated. Not so in this case. No bullshit. Great service, great quality, and a fair price. If you decide to stop by and check them out, take note of a cherry ’83 BMW 320 on the wall. That would be the one that started my relationship with these great people. So in closing I will say this: you will find no better place in Las Vegas—oh hell, Nevada—that will do a better job. ”

“European Motor Cars (EMC) is where I take my BMW for all service. They are in Chinatown, just off the Strip, and they have master mechanics in BMW, Mercedes, and Jaguar. The shop is owned by Dan and Shelina Dunphy, who are really nice – they explain everything that’s going on with the car, and they let you into the repair bays to explain everything in as much or as little detail as you want (apparently Dan is Canadian and didn’t grow up in the US “lawsuits abound” environment). They keep up on the trainings for their mechanics and as far as I can tell, have the computerized equipment that’s necessary for sophisticated diagnostics on the most recent cars (note: I’m not a technical car guy). Also, they only have the master mechanics working on the cars, not apprentices (like at the dealership). ”

“A good friend of mine recently bought a BMW “toy” (a later model Z3) and took it to EMC. I mentioned to him that I was bringing my Z3 (1996—one of the first three delivered to Nevada!) to Vegas from our house in Havasu because no one in Havasu services BMWs. He raved about EMC—so much so I thought it impossible for them to live up to all the hype. They did! From the first phone call to the final delivery, everything went better than I expected. They performed all of the work I asked for, identified the causes for some of the peculiar behaviors the cars was exhibiting, and repaired them beautifully. The car runs better than ever and EMC is now where I will bring my cars for all of their service needs. ”

“The engine in my Z4 “blew out” and it was not covered under BMW’s warranty. The local dealer quoted me the same price I paid for my car…it made no sense! Why would I want to do that? After many calls to other BMW service centers in Las Vegas, I decided to take it in to EMC because they had the best reputation and reviews. The staff was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. They gave me a quote and I decided to move forward with replacing my engine. Four days later, my car was ready and running better than ever! Six months later, it’s still in perfect running condition! That was the best experience I’ve ever had with a service center…period! EMC has a customer for life. When I get my 911 Turbo, I will also service it there. ”
